See what our clients have to say about working with us:
Increasing Revenue Using Behavior Prediction
Harrah’s has one of the most sophisticated CRM systems among casino operators in the world. Using an Icosystem agent-based model to leverage its customer data, Harrah’s was able to gain new insights into player experience, leading to tailored marketing offers that increase revenue.
“As a pioneer in the use of quantitative metrics and analytics, we at Harrah’s recognize Icosystem as a clear leader in the field,” says Gary Loveman, Harrah’s CEO, adding, “They have helped us increase our operational effectiveness leading to increased revenues.”
Acquiring New Customers with Tailored Offers
Using agent-based modeling, health insurer Humana was able to place underwriting power in the hands of the sales and broker team to provide more responsiveness to employer needs, allowing employers to model different benefit bundles and contribution strategies to achieve its health care and savings targets.
According to Jack Lord, Chief Innovation Officer, using Icosystem’s technology “is a major advance in our ability to develop targeted, customized benefit solutions for employers. This is like moving from the Farmer’s Almanac to Doppler Radar.”
Improving Margins with Nonlinear Pricing
Schlumberger, an oil and gas services firm needed to extract more value from its Gulf of Mexico wireline logging operations by scheduling work differently and/or with a different pricing structure. Working with field managers, Icosystem analyzed the operations, built an agent-based model of demand, the dynamics of crew, equipment and rigs, connecting the model to the business unit’s P&L. As a result, our client identified operations improvements and pricing changes, adding 10% directly to bottom line.
Increasing the Rate of Innovation
“Compared to a standard 40 months and roughly $25 million, …[we] reached the same amount of technical success in a year and a day with a total expenditure on the order of $2.7 million.”
–Neil Bodick, COO, Eli Lilly Chorus
Eli Lilly contracted with Icosystem to create a comprehensive computer model of Chorus, a large pharmaceutical R&D organization. Chorus was used to study how and where bottlenecks interfere with the development process and are “exacerbated by the flux in prioritization in portfolio management, [which] essentially sends ripples through the system.”
Chorus has been able to significantly cut both the time and cost of development through proof of concept. Compared to a standard 40 months and roughly $25 million, Bodick reported that Chorus has reached the “same amount of technical success in a year and a day with a total expenditure on the order of $2.7 million” (from The Pink Sheet, 2/26/2007).
Accurate Prediction of Malware Intervention Strategies
“We’re very pleased with the results of this work.”
–Paul Waldron, Director of Fraud Operations, France Telecom
“We worked with Icosystem to develop a software model that allows us to explore the development of an outbreak of mobile malware in a population of mobile phones. Icosystem’s model was able to predict the future evolution of the infection with enough accuracy to give us confidence that we could use it to investigate intervention strategies that could be used to slow or control the outbreak. Icosystem’s research staff were extremely flexible in their approach to the project and proactively brought forward ideas on how we might address the challenges in building this kind of model.”
Driving Traffic with Pricing & Advertising
GSD&M IdeaCity is one of Omnicom Group’s largest advertising agencies. Using agent-based (consumer-centric) modeling to model the casual dining ecosystem for a GSD&M client, Icosystem was able to make traffic predictions based on pricing and media plan within 5% of actual numbers, making the tool the most accurate predictor in the space. According to Maury Giles, VP, Analytics and Accountability, Icosystem’s technology can help save agencies and their clients millions of dollars.
